Warranty
Flux Components Warranty Policy
At Flux Components, we want you to purchase with confidence. Unless otherwise stated in the product listing, eligible products are covered by our 12-month return-to-base warranty from the date of delivery.
1. Warranty coverage
The warranty covers faults caused by defective materials, components or workmanship arising during normal and appropriate use.
Depending on availability and the circumstances, Flux Components will:
-
Repair the product;
-
Replace it with the same or an equivalent product; or
-
Issue a full or partial refund.
Replacement products may be new, refurbished or surplus stock of an equivalent specification and condition. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, we will normally issue a refund.
2. Product condition
Flux Components supplies new, new-surplus, refurbished and used industrial automation components. The condition of each product will be clearly stated in its listing.
New-surplus products may be older or discontinued stock and may show signs of storage, handling or ageing to the original packaging. Unless expressly stated, Flux Components is not an authorised distributor of the product manufacturer.
3. Warranty exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
-
Incorrect installation, wiring, programming or commissioning;
-
Accidental damage, misuse, neglect or improper storage;
-
Damage caused by unsuitable voltage, power surges or electrical faults;
-
Operation outside the manufacturer’s specified conditions;
-
Unauthorised modification, dismantling or repair;
-
Normal wear and tear or consumable components;
-
Cosmetic marks that were disclosed in the listing;
-
Compatibility issues where the product is otherwise functioning correctly;
-
Loss of data, programs, parameters or production;
-
Firmware or software compatibility unless expressly guaranteed;
-
Damage occurring after the product has been forwarded or exported by the customer.
Installation and commissioning should be completed by a suitably qualified person.
4. Making a warranty claim
Please contact Flux Components before returning a product and provide:
-
Your order number;
-
The product part number and serial number, where applicable;
-
A clear description of the fault;
-
Photographs or diagnostic information where reasonably requested.
The product must be returned securely packaged and, where possible, with its original accessories. Do not return products without first receiving return instructions.
5. Inspection and testing
All warranty returns may be inspected and tested. If no fault is found, or the problem falls outside this policy, the product may be returned to the customer and reasonable testing and delivery costs may be charged. We will notify you before applying any charge.
Serial numbers, warranty labels and security markings must remain intact. Products with removed, altered or mismatched identification may not qualify for warranty service.
6. Return costs
Where a valid warranty fault is confirmed, Flux Components will reimburse reasonable standard return postage costs or provide an appropriate return service.
Customers must obtain approval before using an enhanced, express or specialist delivery service. International customers are responsible for any customs documentation associated with a return.
7. Replacement warranty
A repaired or replacement product will remain covered for the balance of the original warranty period or 90 days from the date the repaired or replacement product is dispatched, whichever is longer.
8. Business purchases
For business customers, the warranty is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the affected product. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flux Components is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including production downtime, loss of profit, loss of contracts or loss of data.
Nothing in this policy excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Consumer rights
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not replace or restrict, the statutory rights of UK consumers. Goods supplied to consumers must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. UK guidance explains that consumers may generally reject faulty goods within 30 days, with further repair, replacement or refund remedies applying afterwards. Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Trading Standards consumer guidance.
